Solo Pedal Steel Piece

Post by Drew Taubenfeld »

Hey all.

I wrote and recorded a piece for solo pedal steel. i thought it would be fun to try to compose something in the style of Philip Glass and Steve Reich.
This is from al album i'm releasing feb 27 of all solo works for different instruments.

Here's the piece.

This was produced by the wonderful Russ Pahl and Whitten Wright with their Steel Guitar Arts Council.

If anyone is interested in the album you can find it here https://drewtaubenfeld.bandcamp.com/alb ... i-can-tell

Hope you enjoy.

Very well done. You showcase the versatility of the PSG; that track would fit in any number of different settings. Very enjoyable non-cliche playing.

This is a great minimalist piece, thanks for sharing! The tone is lush…curious what effects were used?
