JJazzLab (BIAB alternative for linux users)

Post by Doug Garrick »

A quick heads up about JJazzLab. JJazzLab is software package that is an open source alternative to Band In A Box. It was primarily developed on and for linux but there are versions available for Mac and Windows users as well. There is another thread where a couple of us linux based forum members are working our way through it and getting to know the intricacies of the product and it's installation etc. Personally, I'm liking it more and more all the time. I have never used BIAB so I am not prepared to comment on feature comparisons but I am very curious to know how it compares to BIAB. You can check this thread ->https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=412710 to follow the progress of our trials with the product. I should mention that I have imported BIAB songs and it worked fine.

The product will solicit you for a donation each time you start the program but a payment is not required. If you do donate you'll get a code and the donation prompt will be removed. But you can still run the program for free by just waiting 20 secs for the message to clear.
